How often should my pet’s teeth be cleaned?

We recommend that pets come in for a dental checkup and cleaning at least once per year. At home, their teeth should be brushed daily. Our team is happy to share some techniques and product recommendations to make your daily brushing routine as easy as 1-2-3.

How should my pet’s breath smell?

Healthy pets should have “neutral” smelling breath. Contrary to popular belief, “doggy breath” is not normal. In fact, it is one of the earliest signs of periodontal disease. If you notice any foul smells in your pet’s mouth, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.

Can I use human toothpaste and toothbrush on my pet?

No. Please use products made specifically for pets and their unique species. Human toothpaste contains ingredients that can be toxic for pets. Human toothbrushes are also made up of materials that can damage your pet’s enamel and gums.
